-Practice stitching with zigzag on calico

-Practice patched fabric

-Experimenting with appliqué technique

Project: Add an appliqué motif (hand stitch or machine stitch) on a top, T-shirt/ or skirt.

Practice stitching ribbons, lace, poppers, buttons, buttonholes(hand), Velcro

Project: Embellish or make up a garment using trimmings or buttons

Re-cycling an old pair of adult pair of blue denim jeans/or an old garment.

Project: Make a Simple dress, decorate to new!

Introduction to professional dressmaking techniques

- Practice seam allowance, seam neatening, casing & elastic, zips…

Introduction to personalised pattern cutting (including how to take measurement)

-Draft a circular skirt or panel skirt or elasticated trousers

Project: Make a tank top, elasticised skirt or trousers (from your pattern)

Introduction to Commercial Pattern

- Understanding instruction on commercial pattern

- Selecting style, cutting out

Project: make up garment (from re-cycle fabric)

Re-cycling an old adult T-shirt

Project: Make an elasticated jersey short (boys) or elasticated jersey skirt
